Greetings! Blog Post #1

At the suggestion of many people, I have started a blog. The purpose of this blog is to discuss home organization and time mangement and how making a plan will help us (1) have more time to spend with Jesus, and (2) have more time and money to go out and love others: our family, church, community, and world.

Since 2003 I have been teaching on this topic and now I'm writing a book. The full title is Redesign Your Homemaking: Creating Room To Love God and Love People.

So here are my questions: (1) How does your homemaking tasks interfere with your time with Jesus? What seems to take up all your time? And (2) If you had more time and money, what would you do to serve and love others?

Can't wait to hear your answers!
xoxo

  1. My dear friend, I am so glad that you have taken the plunge into blog world! I can't wait to see what the Lord does through this.

    In answer to your questions...

    1) I'm better at this, but I used to get so distrated, physically and/or mentally by all I would see that needed to be done...and almost feel guilty for sitting at the Lord's feet instead of attending to the 'to-do's'.

    2) Mind racing...this is fun...OK, I'll pick one...I would love to have women in my home more, (neighbors, church friends, daughters friends and moms), for fellowship and ministry.

God's blessings on your ministry to women...He knows we need it! =]

  2. Hmmm... you have me thinking!

    1. I agree with Michelle's answer. I have trouble sometimes focusing when I'm thinking "the dishwasher needs to be run" or "Yuck! I can smell the litterbox!"

    2. Teach Bible study after Bible study after Bible study. I love meeting with women and talking about my Jesus and getting passionate about him all together!
